Larry Willis, born in Bessemer, Alabama, has always cherished his family, southern cuisine, and football. His passion for football led him to excel in organized sports during junior high and high school, earning accolades such as Most Valuable Player, Team Captain, and Most Valuable Offensive Player. This success on the field, combined with strong academic performance, earned him a four-year football scholarship to Alcorn State University.

At Alcorn, an HBCU, Larry majored in Business Administration and continued to excel in football, earning numerous awards and honors. His standout performances included being named Team’s Most Outstanding Offensive Freshman, receiving All-Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Honorable Mention, and breaking records for receptions as an Offensive Receiver. His senior year achievements included the highest academic average among football athletes, All-SWAC First Team Wide Receiver, and being drafted by the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Larry transitioned to a successful career in management and education.
