The Willis House Fire Relief Distribution Center Now Open!

Nestled just 20 minutes away from Altadena in the serene foothills of Glendora, the Willis family has become a lifeline for their community in the wake of the devastating Altadena fires. Their story is one of resilience, compassion, and unwavering faith—a testament to the power of coming together in times of crisis.

The fires, fueled by relentless winds, left a trail of destruction in their wake. Forty of the Willis family’s friends lost everything—their homes, their belongings, and even four cars. In the face of such overwhelming loss, the Willis family didn’t hesitate to step up. From Day 1 of the disaster, Renee Willis and her husband launched *The Willis House Distribution Center*, a hub of hope and practical support for those in need.

A Helping Hand in Times of Need

The Willis House Distribution Center is more than just a place to pick up essentials—it’s a sanctuary of care and compassion. The center provides free food, water, clothing (including church attire), jackets, bedding, towels, hats, scarves, shoes, and toiletries for men and women in all sizes. Beyond material goods, the center also offers gift cards, resource lists, and, perhaps most importantly, prayer and emotional support.

The Willis family’s efforts are fueled by the generosity of friends and community members who have donated items to help those affected. To ensure the process is organized and respectful, the center operates by appointment and referral only, allowing the Willis family to serve each individual with dignity and care.

Going Above and Beyond

Renee Willis’s commitment to helping others goes beyond the distribution center. Last week, she gave away her older E320 Mercedes to a friend who had lost everything in the fires. This act of selflessness is just one example of how the Willis family is directly impacting lives during this difficult time.

How You Can Help

The road to recovery for the Altadena fire victims will be long, but the Willis family believes that we are *better together*. If you’d like to support their efforts, there are several ways you can help:

1. Pray: Keep the victims and volunteers in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this challenging season.

2. Share: Spread the word about the Willis House Distribution Center and their mission to help fire victims rebuild their lives.

3. Volunteer: If you’re local and able to lend a hand, your time and energy can make a world of difference.

4. Donate: Financial contributions can be made via Zelle to Competitive Edge Education at 626-818-3631 (Renee Willis). All proceeds go directly to fire relief efforts.

A Message of Hope

As the Willis family often says, *“God is good all the time.”* Their unwavering faith and dedication to serving others remind us that even in the darkest moments, there is light—and that light shines brightest when we come together as a community.

Thank you for your support, your prayers, and your generosity. Together, we can help rebuild lives and restore hope.

With gratitude,

Renee Wills
